A lot of Montreal players.
Barron Miles ripped it up this season.

Are these your choices or the actual awards?
Because there is no way that Durant should be close to an All-star team.

Pretty cool to see both our corners getting picked. Durant over Burris is questionable, I know Hank had an off year but Durant threw 21 INTs.

Darian has more touchdown passes than both (Ray and Burris), more completions than Burris in less attempts... 1st place compared to 2nd and 3rd.
Considering the stats are close, and Durant is in his 1st year as starter, and Ray/Burris are both in start number 7.... that adds up to a more impressive year.

Burris and Ray had more yards, better passer ratings and less INT.
How many years a guy has been a starter means nothing when it comes to voting for the All-Star team.
Also, not sure how the Stamps (and Casey Printers) giving the Riders the division makes Durant a better QB.
Durant was clearly the third best QB this season in the West.

Haha, Durant over Ray or Hank. As bad as Hank was in the middle of the season I'd still take him over mr. 21 interceptions.
Also how does the league leader in sacks not get on the "all-star" team? and Romero does?
East is basically all Montreal.

Durant = 21 interceptions.
He is an average quarterback at best. Saskatchewan had a very good season but credit that to the system in place, not the quarterback running it.

Durant? Seriously? He sucked so bad in the HAM game, the coach had to pull him.

There wasn't a QB in the west that really stood out so it's hard to argue for any one of them to get it. Burris has just been average. Ray has had a lot of terrible games.

The stats can be twisted and manipulated for any of the West QB's. Honestly, I think Durant got the votes because expectations for him going into the season were so low and he definitely overachieved in many peoples views...additionally, when games were on the line, he generally stepped up and made timely plays that made the difference in key games. When it mattered most this season, the dude was absolute money. That won't show up in the numbers, but I guarantee you was the reason he garnered so many votes and is the West All Star QB.

Yeah, Durant shouldn't have been the West QB All star.
Lets compare Burris and Durant:
Completions/attempts: Almost identical, too close to distinguish, Durant SLIGHTLY higher completion percentage. They both had 339 completions, but it took Burris 9 more passes to do so.
Passing yards: Burris had nearly 500 more passing yards.
TDs: Durant 24, Burris 22 - pretty close
Ints: Durant 21, Burris 16 - less close.
Rushing Yards - Burris with a slight edge
Rushing TDs - Burris with a huge 11-3 margin.
Team record: Identical.
The only categories Durant leads Burris in are very close, and are offset by the other categories where Durant is further behind Burris.
Of course, the West QB All star picking has a history of weird picks. The one year, Ricky Ray was the all-star despite being only the 4th (maybe 5th) best QB in the western division.

Al Cameron on why he voted for Durant:
Quote:
But to me, the all-star nod was based on Durant simply willing his team to victory countless times this season, particularly against the Stampeders.
A compelling number to me was his perfect performance throwing two-point conversions this year. That speaks to his poise and grace under pressure.
Now, is it fair to say that Burris might have been measured against his brilliant 2008 campaign? Undoubtedly. By any standard (including his own), Burris was not as good this year as he was last year, and much of that is due to losing receivers Ken-Yon Rambo and Ryan Thelwell.
Having said that, he was still bloody good this year, and he was statistically superior to Durant in every category.
But in terms of how much of an impact each quarterback had his respective team’s performances this year, I would suggest that Durant was more of a one-man show, while Burris had contributing performances from Joffrey Reynolds and Jeremaine Copeland this year.
By no means should this diminish what Burris did this year. He showed grace under pressure and class in some tough situations, both on and off the field.
But my vote still went to Durant, and I’ll leave it to Burris himself to back me up.
“Darian’s a good quarterback. He’s had a great season. He deserves it,” said Burris on Wednesday. “He’s got the No. 1 team in the division; Darian stepped up and made big plays for that team.”
