Default Iron Maiden: Flight 666

Anyone going to see it tomorrow?

Playing at Chinook for what looks like one night only, it also does not mention anything about IMAX on calgarymovies.com but I'm quite sure it is on the IMAX screen.

Might as well take a break from the playoffs tomorrow evening if there is a chance the filthy Canucks might close out their series.

What time is it on? I loved Sam Dunn and Scott McFayden's Metal: A Headbanger's Journey. Aparently they were working on a Doc about Rush but had to put it on hold when Dickenson contacted them to come along on their last tour. I'd totally be down.

Oh hell, I didn't know that same dude directed this also, he's cornering the market on metal documentaries. Looking forward to the Rush project.

Just found out that my Girlfriend is going to Chinook to see some Zatch Errfron BS at 7:05 tomorrow with some of her friends. Looks like I'm free as Icarus to attend the 7 pm showing!

What a tough decision to make: The best metal band ever vs a singing deuchebag trying to do comedy.

Brilliant double entendre, whether intended or not. I am going to a 7pm showing tonight!

WOW! That had to be one of the most enjoyable doc's I have seen in a long time. It was great to finnaly have some, even a sight, glimpse into one of the most reclusive bands there is lives. I had no idea that Niko McBrain was such a big golfer, and what a livewire!

Plus the concert shots they used... It felt like last June all over again!

Job well done directors! Bravo!

Incredible. Well shot and beautiful on the big screen, the live footage and especially the overhead shots of the stadiums and countryside in Mexico, Columbia and Argentina. These filmmakers have really stepped up, miles ahead of Headbanger's Journey.

The fans in South America are out of their minds, I thought the Rush in Rio DVD had some lunatics but Maiden has them beat. The shot of the young couple crying at the end of the Columbia show was powerful, you could sense they were sad the show was over and at the same time just incredibly happy to finally see their favorite band, completely overcome with emotion and just standing there unable to speak.

Bruce taking off and landing the 757, Tom Morello backstage at the Forum in LA, Harris playing soccer in Brazil with Andreas Kiser from Sepultura, just tons of very cool scenes.

Out on BluRay June 9th, I'll be picking up a copy for sure.

Thought it was a great documentary and definitely worth seeing on the big screen.

I think the guy was crying because in large part because he managed to get a drumstick, which for such a passionate fan in a place where such a concert is like a holy event it must have been like receiving a relic of the cross or something. Really shows how much it means to some people.

Watching my BluRay copy now, beautiful.

I watched it this weekend, and I agree - that couple in Columbia who were crying was just intense. Its amazing that these people grew up idolizing Maiden and finally get to see them play.
I laughed so hard when that asian girl was like "I Steve hawwiss daughter"
