So last nite at 130am I was waiting for my wife to get off work. She works a block away from that new CO OP. I'm sitting in my car and I hear this loud engine sound. Since it is right next to the train tracks i figured it was a train, but i look in my rearview and this stupid guy was going 130km down 10 Ave in a new Cadillac.

10 Ave when you hit 14th Street NW you have to make a right hand turn and I was thinking how the hell is he going to stop in time. Well he doesn't. He hit his brakes for a second and jumps the median and races THROUGH 14th without even stopping. If there was a car on either side he would have KILLED them! I can't believe some people are that ######ed when it comes to speeding. I know it sounds bad but I hope they DIE! and quickly before they take someone with them.

Should i have phoned the cops? i had my cell with me. But I guess it would have been too late by then. Soooo stupid!

Did he wreck the car? Doesn't make sense?
Yes probably. It dips down when you hit 14th. I heard this huge bang, i thought he hit someone at first, but then i saw him on the otherside of 14th.

Yes it totally makes no sense at all!!! i thought i was sleeping when i looked in my rearview because he was coming so fast and the intersection was so close.

Maybe it was stolen but there were no cops behind him. Unless you are insanely drunk maybe. I don't know. I was pretty p*ssed off for the rest of the nite.

I would have stilled called the cops. If they know the direction he is going they can pick him up via the chopper or what not. Guys like this need to get kicked off the roads.

Yeah, if the chopper isn't doing anything at that moment they WILL send it in pursuit of the car. Not to mention nearby cops...

Why get upset? Pro hockey players drive that fast all the time.

Yeah, and they DO kill people and even get away with it, so what is the harm really?

Hey man before you go ripping on pro hockey players (specifically) or namely Dany Heatley... if you have read anything before this you realize that no one has condoned what he has done, it is dealing with what someone has experienced first hand. Have a little introspect before you start judging.

I don't think anyone deserves to die for a bad decision, spur of the moment especially.

If a family member, good friend, or myself killed someone driving that fast and recklessly i hope they/i would be put away for 10 years minimum.

Therefor, i feel the same way about cocky hockey players, even if they say 'sorry'.

*shrug*

To be honest i have absolutely no sympathy for Heatley. to get public speaking as a sentence is a joke. If he ever becomes a Flame i will start cheering for the oilers.
