New favorite T.V. show
So its T.V.'s offseason, repeats, bad reality shows, general crap.
However the Discovery channel has a show called machines of malice, where they show ancient torture and execution devices and try to recreate us.
In the first episode we've seen
The brass bull - A hideous brass bull with a horn in it. The victim is put in it and a fire is lit below that, the horn amplifies his or her screams and it sounds like a bull
The wicker man - an amazing piece of engineering where victims and livestock are executed by fire.
The great wheel - The victim is strapped to a giant wheel and pushed down hill
Another machine built by the spartans that looks like a woman but has a deadly hug with spike lined arms.
The crucifiction - one of the most painfull deaths.
And many more. Its a three part series covering execution and torture devices throughout history.

My new favorite TV show is The Unusuals. They canceled it last week.
I will have to check out Machines of Malice. I would like to use one on TV execs.

Part two is on
They've shown racking, crushing devices, the pear and the pendulum.

Yeah, that is a crazy cool show. That Brass Bull friggin' near gives me nightmares. I don't know why but to me that one is far and away the worst! What a way to go.

Banged up Abroad (on National Geographic) on Tuesday nights is a pretty cool show it you haven't seen it. Unfortunately, if you have the episodes are just repeats from last year.
It's about people that end up in jails (or being held captive by guerillas in last week's episode) in foreign countries. Most often the people are drug mules who get caught, but there's a few different situations. Some of the prisions in South America and the Far East are pretty insane. They interview the actual people involved in the story which makes it pretty cool.

Great show, but i also like American Greed - its about scammers and how they get caught but when i say scammers i mean million dollar deals.
Another show i somehow enjoy nowdays is ManTracker

The fact that the designer of the bull ended up being the first victim is a interesting piece of irony considering that the man that designed it was stupid enough to be talked into demonstrating the horn. Once he was in he was locked in and the fire started.

Both are in their first season, but I've really gotten into Nitro Circus and Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, both on MTV.

How about something more peaceful like The History of Sex on the History Channel? Anyway I kinda like the iron maiden.

They demonstrated the Iron maiden, it was probably one of the cruelest ways to go. It was designed to not stab any major organs. You were held up by multiple spikes in a dark cramped space. You couldn't bleed to death because the spikes prevented bleed out.
And they kept you in there for days waiting patiently for your confession.
