Like the thread title, what's your favorite word?
Mine has to be "shirking"
v. To avoid or neglect (a duty or responsibility).
v. To avoid work or duty.
n. the evasion of work or duty
the word rings true so often, and it's fun to say!

A few weeks ago on Desperate Housewives, the maniacal Bree Van de Kamp told her philandering husband on his near-death bed that she wanted him to live only long enough so that he could watch her "eviscerate" him in divorce court.
Eviscerate - "to gut."
That's my new favourite word for now.
Cowperson

I probably shouldn't mention the one I really want to.
I kind of like the word "agog", which means "eager anticipation".

I always like throwing "vis a vis" into a conversation... instantly makes whatever you say sound relevant... or total BS, depending on the crowd.

my favourite words changes from time to time, but it's usually the name of whomever my heart desires.
puts a smile on my face, and even when the most depressed, upset, etc if perchance I hear that word, I feel better.
