Default Apple Airport can't connect to network when......

its password protected. It will connect to my network if i go into my linksys router and set the network to "not password protected". If i put on the security and choose a pass phrase it always says connection failed when i try to connect to the network. anyone got any suggestions on what to try ?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

for linksys the address is 192.168.1.1 and the username/password should be admin/admin or some variation of them (no user name/pword I don't remember exactly what it is)

I've had this issue before, but never figured out a solution to it that works all the time. A couple updates ago, the problem just worked it self out.

That said, I did have some luck deleting the key chains that contained my wireless information. Also, deleting all wireless network information in Network Settings and then resetting it also led to some success -- but it was also hit and miss.

Currently my problem with Airport is that if I plug my external monitor into my Macbook and then try using the wireless network, the airport card starts going bonkers, hits 80 degrees and times out. Still can't figure that one out.
