So what I was thinking is during sometime in Jan-March we can have some practices at either a local gym or hopefully a dried out arena, if this is all a go.

Personally if we do have a CP team it will take place in the Spring/Summer season (Apr-Julyish). I would personally love to play on a CP team and I think it would be really fun to play with CP'ers. I've played with superleagues before and its always fun, on full sized arenas during the spring season games are generally around 7-9 pm but we would play a few late games.
If we do create a team we would need two jerseys, If possible we could replicate the CP ice hockey team jerseys or just use the Calgary Flames 04 style for about $80 for two at sportcheck I think, then get them personalized. If we wanted to just use a generic silk screened logo and jersey.
Anyways I know we had a thread on this earlier in the year but a fresh one might stir some more interest.
Here are some base rules for Superleagues.
Levels of Play
Teams can join and compete at a variety of levels. Levels are determined for each team based on their competitive interest and experience level, into one of the following listed below:
Tier 1: Extremely competitive with experienced players competing regularly in Provincial and National Tournaments
Tier 2: Very competitive with a mix of veteran players and young potential Tier 1 players gaining experience for future advancement
Tier 3: Competitive with less experienced players. Great starting point for teams who have good skills but need some seasoning before moving up the ranks
Tier 4: Least Competitive with a more recreational attitude towards the sport. Players who love the game but just want to have fun or improve their skills, or new teams who are new to hockey and need a place to start out
Facilities have said they will no longer allow our league to play in their facilities if teams are caught drinking. As such the following penalties will be in place for offending teams:
1st Offense : $250 team fine. Forfeiture of two points in standings.
2nd Offense: Permanent ban from the league.
PLEASE respect our facilities. We would like to continue the positive relationships we have will all our rinks for the betterment of everyone!
Jersey requirement changes effective September 1st, 2008:- Teams must have a minimum of 2 sets of jerseys, including light color for home games, and dark color for away games
Team Roster Requirements- Teams may have up to 25 players on their roster at any given time (including goalies)
- Teams may add or remove players from their roster until the posted Roster Deadline (see website calendar for posted deadlines each season)
- A player can only be listed on one team’s roster per season per league, regardless of division, or position
Equipment Requirements- All Players must wear CSA approved Helmets and Gloves (excluding D-Gel Gloves). Helmets must be in good condition, unaltered, and J-Clips must be removed.
- All Goalies must wear CSA approved Masks and protective equipment (no Cats-Eye masks or street hockey equipment)
- All Players and Goalies must use CSA approved hockey sticks with wood or composite blades (no plastic blades)
- Any player who does not meet the Equipment Standards will not be allowed to play
- Any player who after a warning is caught using illegal equipment will be assessed a minor penalty and will not be allowed to play until it is rectified

I believe in the Pony Power

I'm still recovering from a knee injury but hopefully by spring I'll be ready to roll and if so I'm in for sure.
I also can get someone to both design a jersey for us and get them for a cheaper cost.

The CP rec hockey jersey's are made for ice hockey, they may a bit heavy for running around in. I know most ball/roller hockey teams go with the more meshy material jerseys for cost and lightness. Unfortunitly our jerseys were custom made and are only able to be custom made with the expensive material (same as an NHL jersey). However, now that the logo is designed, you are able to use it for any jersey template you buy, you would just have to get me to send the original to whichever company you go with, that way you would forgo the expensive logo start up fee.

The best thing you guys can do is keep a running list in this thread of people who are commited, then another list of people who are maybe's and just keep it updated regularly. A lot of times you'll think you have this huge list of people ready to join your team, but then find that only a third of them are ready with cash in hand by the time you're ready to put the team in.

This is a deal breaker for the CP'ers I know.

I am currently recovering from ACL reconstructive surgery, but may be ready to play by April. I enjoyed playing in the heckle this past year, and would love to give this a try as well.

Okay if this is in spring I may be interested.
Certainly not a forward, stay at home defenseman.

And by "stay at home", he means he'll be a pylon with a stick on a swivel...

What would be the ideal number of players 16? 3 lines of forwards + 3 lines of D. We could also go 4 lines of forwards + 3 lines of D plus a keeper.
I'll whip up a list of people interested after the game tonight
