NJ Devils Re-Sign Coach Babcock
In addition to our earlier post, the Devils would like to announce the re-signing of coach Mike Babcock to a 2 year deal that will pay him 1.1 million per season.
"Mike is one of the premier coaches in the league and we are happy to pay him as such," said Devils GM Steve R. "Hopefully he will have the team he wants within this time frame so we can see him to his best work."
The Devils also announced a minor trade, sending a 4th round pick to the Hurricanes for Steve Regier, who will help fill out their roster at the AHL level, where they are still short at LW and RW.
At the same time, the Devils released D 'Sucky' Radoslav Suchy, after trying unsuccessfully to find a new home for him.
