If you stepped on the ice for a rec league hockey game, and the other team was wearing full on reebok edge Flames jerseys and socks?

I put a hockey team in for the winter, and I'm going down tomorrow to put in a deposit for custom Flames jerseys with a Calgarypuck based logo, but I found out that we are allowed to wear real Flames jerseys with our names on the back.

I phoned Areniline sports, and they said we could get a good discount on the reebok edge Flames jerseys if we buy a full team set of home and away. It actually works out to be significantly cheaper than the custom one's we may have made.

The other difference is that the custom one's would be the new Flames jersey design, but on a regular jersey cut.

I know it would feel good to wear the edge jersey and socks, but do you guys think it would look kind of gay? Also, does anyone know if the Flames are planning on changing the shoulder patches this year?

I'd just go with the jerseys. Not everyone has big legs like the pros, and it would look pretty funny to see a bunch of stick men skating around in pro gear. Tight fitting jerseys might be kinda funny as well if your team has a few guys as out of shape as some of the characters on mine.

Doesn't really contribute to your question of whether or not I would laugh (which I wouldn't...) but I thought I would give you props on the jersey's anyways.

I wouldn't laugh, but I might sigh a little or maybe shake my head. I'd say use the custom jerseys ... they're sweet looking.

I would laugh a little but only because I love the name "Calgary Puckers." Those jerseys are phenomenal.

Honestly who cares if people laugh. Those that do are probably just jealous.

Okay, nevermind you already play tonight. Although you guys play at 7:45 and we play at 9:30 in the same arena, so if you were an ironman, you could finish your game, then jump across the hall to our dressing room and play with us.

Well if you guys are short you can always poke your head in and see if anyone wants some more ice. Although I don't know if it's legal to play for a team in the same division or not.

Yeah they just changed it this summer so that you can now play on multilple teams in the same division. But the problem is you have to fill out a new waiver specifically for our team.

A little OT but is the new Flames' jersey design out in stores yet? Looked but haven't seen them. And how are they different? Just hte flags removed or what?
