Default Mark Knopfler

Anyone else go?

Very old crowd. Incredible show. Wow........ just wow. The band was great, Mark was absolutely fluid. And I got to see Telegraph Road live, in it's entirety. AWESOME.

Another highlight was watching this 70 year old guy just rocking out during Sultans of Swing.

Great great great show!!

Did he do the song from Local Hero?

That's my favorite soundtrack by Knopfler and also probably my favorite film of all time.

I would have been pretty damn happy with that set list - a nice mix of his solo work and Dire Straits classics. I always liked "Romeo and Juliet" would have loved to hear it live.

And if he had played Tunnel of Love I would have been crushed I didn't go - though I don't know how often he dusts that one off.

the last track Going Home is the song from Local Hero. Just a terrific performance.

Kind of funny that after we left Jack Singer, there were people handing out flyers advertising Mark's brother David playing at the Bowness sportsplex. He left Dire Straits in 1980 and according to him, hasn't really spoken to Mark since.
