I've decided to sell my BB Pearl on Telus due to some upcoming travel plans. The phone and contract are only two months old. The Pearl itself works like a charm, it's great for email and checking out the web (I was especially impressed with how nicely it displayed CP!). As mentioned, the terms of the contract you would be taking over includes a $15/month all data package. This was a promotional deal put on by Telus when the Pearl first came out with them, but was quickly taken away because they thought they weren't getting enough money...Or so one could assume. I was one of the lucky costumers to get onto this plan. It works for any and all data going in and out of your phone, including email, web, BB messenger, Facebook, GPS with either Blackberry or Google Maps and anything else you can think of.
As for the voice plan, the contract is currently set up with the My Faves 40 plan. It gives you unlimited calling to any 10 numbers anywhere in Canada, land line or cell phone for $40/month. I have also confirmed with Telus that any details of the contract can be reworked at any time. The duration of the contract is three years, and is two months into the first year.
Telus charges a one time $25 contract transfer fee. I am willing to pay that cost, so to take on this contract will actually be free of charge to the new user.
