So what are you getting your dad for fathers day and what ya expect to get yourself?
So what is a typical price range for a father's day gift? Just trying to figure out what to get my dad for fathers day and what to ask for myself. From talking to some coworkers, sounds like many of them don't get (or give) much more than just a card.

A card from my wife and I and a card from my kids. We also plan to go out for lunch and spend the afternoon with my dad. Then off to my inlaws for supper and spending the rest of the day with my wife's dad. The gift of spending time with them is very valuable to both our fathers.

Haven't really got him anything specific, but my brother and I, are going to go golfing with him and his dad as a sort of present. Our grandpa is in his mid 70s, so it will be nice to be able to do something like this before it is impossible.

I expect to get something that I can hang on my fridge. Good enough for me.

My dad seems to own everything he needs or wants. Unfortuneately he is retired and doesn't have any friends. He never gets to go golfing, so I'm taking him out today and I can tell he is very excited.

Got my dad a new drill, as for myself, hookers and blow would be alright.

Got my dad tickets to Calgary/Saskabush Stamps game (or will when they get released, he gets a coupon for it now).
My wife said I could get an iPhone for myself for fathers day if I wanted

We celebrated Father's Day last week. I got my dad a new black/orange golf bag. My sister got my dad a new black/orange golf bag. Not the same brand, but getting the same colour was funny enough. We'll have to coordinate next year.

Hopefully a bottle of imported Brazilian liquor, it depends on whether it gets here in time or not, and a new lawnmower.
They will undoubtedly be used in conjunction.
Its kind of funny the looks he gets from the neighbors. Hes the only guy I know that flasks it to mow the lawn.

All I can get

Spend as much time with him as I can. Might be my last Fathers Day with him.
All the stuff I got him over the years doesn't really seem important right now.

My dad's dead, and I don't expect anything myself. Whatever the kids get or do is fine with me.

Please do that. I was lucky enough to get one last Fathers Day with my dad (he died one week later) two years ago. It will be the one you always remember.

My Grandpa died 6 years ago on Father's Day, had a heart attack tying his shoes getting ready to go to lunch with my aunt. It's a sad day for us as well.
I'm going to have brunch with my family at my sister's, then we'll be going to a Father's Day BBQ with my wife's family. Time spent is the only gift I want, it means much more than any present ever could.

Well, my Dad is back home in Vancouver so I'm not going to get to see him this year. I did get him a new 52" Sharp Aquos though that they actually shipped today by accident instead of tomorrow... I guess he'll see it when he gets home.

My family bought me a Nike Sasquatch Sumo Squared Driver (lucky 13).
I dont ever expect anything. Anything they do for me is great. Going to spend the day in Hinton with my son. He's playing in a golf tournament there.

My Dad's in Calgary, and we only exchange gifts at Christmas nowadays. I usually call him and express my appreciation for all that he's done for me during my life. I love Father's day for that reason--it's my one chance to be a little sappy and just say "thanks, Dad." He's given me so many important gifts during my 33 years, and none of the best ones are things that you can hold. His support, his encouragement, his knowledge and his values. These are the things I really cherish. I only wish I'd realized when I was younger what a great dad I had.
This is my 2nd Father's day as a dad. I'm probably getting a card, but TBQH Sunday is a work day for me, and I can't afford to take any time off right now. So my wife will be watching the kid while I work away on the computer.
