Looks pretty good - not based on the comic book platform so much like the first and Im a big Edward Norton fan (and a big Liv Tyler fan too ).

The CGI for this Hulk looks alot better than it did for the '03 one. It looked so cartoonish. After seeing the preview for that I didn't even bother seeing it.

Nice to see the battle scene at the end of the preview taking place on what looks like Yonge Street in Toronto....you can clearly see the famous strip club Zanzi Bar and the ill fated Sam the Record Man.

Doesn't look too bad, but it's kind of weird that it's basically another origin story when they just did that a couple years ago.

Doesn't look as good as Iron Man.

Maybe I should go by Zanzibar this weekend to make sure that the Hulk paid his tab...

I actually support this. I enjoy the sort of Batman Begins idea of "let's pretend that movie never happened". I really disliked the '03 movie. Bana was cool, but that's about all I enjoyed.

I'm excited for this.

Anyone else see this?

It was written by Edward Norton, who was a little pissed off because they edited it down and took out a lot of the character driven stuff.

Still though this was the best comic book movie ever in my opinion, or close too it.

Batman Begins and the first Spider-man are still up there but this movie was REALLY good. and I'm sure when they release a directors cut with the extra stuff it'll be even better. A lot less silly than Iron Man and Spider-man and didn't have a semi-lame villain/ending like Batman Begins.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the confirmed Ant Man movie, the possible Thor movie, the Dark Knight which opens in a month and the Avengers movie which is planned. Oh and the Watchmen movie.

not sure how that logic works.

Just because the 1st one sucked has no bearing on the quality of this movie. It really is one of the best comic book movies ever.

This one compares to Hulk like Batman Begins compares to the 1960s Batman series. Not worth comparing.

It was good, but nowhere close to one of the best comic book movies ever, imo. Personally, I think Downey Jr. did a much better job as Ironman than Norton did as Hulk. I did like it, however, and think the character set so far will be intersting when Avengers gets around to being made.

Yet in the other thread you said you wouldn't see The Happening because Lady In The Water was so bad. So how come that logic works for you?

Saw it yesterday afternoon. Very solid flick, really enjoyed it. Ed Norton was good, I really liked William Hurt as the General. I am really liking his work lately. He was stellard in History of Violence and so underrated in Mr Brooks.

Back to the Hulk, if you hated the first one like me, don't let that bother you. It is a sequel, but it's almost like a reset as well. It's action packed and a lot of fun. If you like comic book movies, you'll like this one.

I think there is a definite difference and here is the logic. and for the record I made it quite clear that if what I heard is true then the Happening probably sucks some serious you know what.

Ok lets compare similarities of Lady in the Water and The Happening.

Same writer, same director, hence likely to have the same kind of "feel"

Hulk vs Incredible Hulk. Whole new writer, director, actors, even the type of movie is different. Hulk was very cartoony and ######ed, Incredible Hulk on the other hand is not silly and cartoony, it is serious and very character driven.

That's how the logic works for me. Like the previous poster said, it'd be like not seeing Batman Begins because you didn't like the 60s TV show. Whole different entity. Lady in the Water and The Happening, not different entities, Shamalayn (sp?) same crappy writing and directing. Although I loved the Sixth Sense and own Unbreakable. M. Night had some good ideas at first but his whole thing is really wearing thin. In fact his movies have gotten worse with each movie.

EDIT: and Van I wouldn't even call it a sequel, they basically rewrite the whole origin although the fact that everyone knows about the first Hulk meant that they could breeze over the origin this time because we were familiar with the concept although the details were quite different.
