CNN

Greg Parcell isn't thinking about the 50,000 lights all around him, or the computer that has them blinking to the beat of "Let it Snow" on the radio.

Instead, his mind is on what's missing as he stands in what seems the one empty spot in his front yard..........Tens of thousands of people also have found a way to skip all those hours out in the cold hanging lights -- opting to hire private companies to deck their halls for anywhere from a few hundred dollars to thousands. One such company, Texas-based Christmas Decor, has grown from 300 customers to over 32,000 in the past eight years........
Meanwhile, Greg Cornwell has nothing bad to say about Parcell's house across the street, but he's bracing for the crowds and the looks from people when he tries to get his car into his driveway.

"They think I'm trying to cut in line," he said.

Do you go crazy with Christmas Decorations? Or is it just clean and simple?

I still put up some lights...but I sure dont do a heck of a lot anymore.

We have friends though that start in October and have entire theme parks in their yards as well as mulitple xmas trees in the home and complete redos on Interior decorating.

Im way to lazy for that...not to mention I dont celebrate xmas in the religous sense anyways.

I find that I am to damn lazy... no real small children around so why really bother. I think it also has to do with the high cost of electricity, and all that crap.

We put ours up a few years ago.....and just didnt take them down.

Upside: At xmas, all you do is get an extension cord and plug them into the wall. Merry Xmas in one easy step.

Downside: The "color" bulbs have faded, so now they are all pretty much white. Not that much of a downside really, since it appears you have changed your lights from last year, haha.

What do you mean. When our Lord Savior delivered baby Jesus with the Easter bunny delivering frankinsence.
The easter bunny was there? Man, I think you're confused. I think you've lost control of your frankenscenses.
