Default Hostels in Munich

Myself and StoneCole will be heading to Oktoberfest this September, and I've noticed some of the hostels are already full. Has anyone been and do you have any good suggestions? Even for some good sites besides hostelworld.com that I can search on would be great.

Me and My Brother were at last years....

I stayed at The Sheraton 4 points in Olympic Park... about a 30 minute train ride away..... of which i spend the ride to hungover and the ride back passed out.

Paid alot. (800 bucks for both of us for the final 3 days).. but it was nice to come back to a comfortable bed, instead of a room with 20 dudes.. When i was booking (april/may ) the hostel prices were only marginally cheaper than hotels.

Camping might be an option. Many European campgrounds are in the middle of the city.

I showed up late on a Friday night with nowhere to sleep. Ended up camping out at an established site in the middle of town for about 5 euros a night. I forget which one it was, but it was a blast. Everyone partied well into the night/morning.
