Is there any way that people can tell if you've viewed their page on facebook? I'm not a member on there but I've been curious about this after hearing friends talk about looking up old girlfriends etc.

I think there is an app you can install that tracks if someone has been to your page but only if you click on a link while you are there. Other than that no... they can not tell if you have been looking at their page. Stalk away..

But users also set their own privacy settings, and most people set them so that only friends can see their page. So it is not as easy as it sounds to lurk onto someones page.

They either have to have approved you as a friend and/or you have a mutual friend that allows you to look on the third parties page using their own account, which is pretty questionable ethics-wise IMO.

That would defeat the whole point of Facebook. What good would it be if you couldn't stalk?

There is an application called Traktor that lets you see who has viewed your page. Other then that, there isn't a way.

Those are for grade 7 girls.

You can stalk anyone you want on Facebook and they'll never know unless you have some mutual tracking application installed on your own facebook account. If you load up something like Tracktor then other people who have it can see if you looked at them... just don't install any wierd tracking applications on your own page and you should be fine to stalk your ex-girlfriends.
