Anyone know where I can get some hardwood?
I can't think of a way to write the title and not cue the easy jokes that will no doubt follow!
Nonetheless, I am looking for some hardwood (apple, cherry, whatever really). I would like somewhere around Calgary where I could buy some wood to BBQ with. I'm not after a bag of chips/chunks here...I'm looking for full wood.
Thanks.

The Cedar Shop?
BTW, if sparky69 doesnt take my advice he might have some to spare. I dont know if you'd want to BBQ with it though.

Well thanks for the serious reply so far! All they seem to have is the chips/chunks. I'm kind of hoping to get some actual logs or big pieces that are like that.

This is simply the best firewood you can buy. It is a blend of Maple, Beech and Birch firewood kiln dried to perfection for burning.

What kind of cooking device do you have, are you just going to use your regular barbecue?

I have a large charcoal BBQ with a side fire-box. I want this wood so that I can cook a whole pig next month (which probably indicates the size of the BBQ).
Thanks for all of the help. I will definitely check some of these out and see how things go!

Michael: There are just so many poorly chosen words in that sentence.
I hope you are not doing any caulking soon.

Mitch: Now, is black caulk hard to find? Because I have a black bathroom. And I've spent one entire weekend trying to locate some black caulk. I was on the phone, the internet. I was doing everything, short of marching up and down the boulevard, screaming at the top of my lungs: "Does anybody know where I can get my hands on some black caulk?!"
Tyler: Did you try Home Depot?

Aside from all the jokes. Which should have been expected.
Why on earth wood you go and pay $4-$20+/ ft for something you are going to burn??
I would say go to a new housing development and look for houses at the finishing stage and dive in the dumpster.

Because you don't want to BBQ with plywood covered in paint and softwood full of nails.
