Default Fixing guitar dings

I have a little ding on my new guitar (Eric Johnson Strat) that is driving me crazy. I know Gibson has lacquer touch-up pens. I can't find something similar for mine.

Has anybody any experience in repair a tiny ding with anything? I've heard everything from drop of nail polish to lacquer from an autoparts store. It's a nitrocellulose finish so it should melt back in and it's just the black part of a sunburst finish.
