Nimoy to play Spock again

I'm not a big Star Trek fan, but I have followed some of it. Leonard Nimoy is going to play Spock again in the next Star Trek movie, slated to be released Christmas 2008.

From what I have heard, this will be a new cast playing these characters. The thought being; the Star Trek franchise isn't about Shatner et al; it's about Kirk et al- and the characters are bigger than the actors are.

Would be nice to see. As long as they don't fata with the time line again. (ie- suddenly Cochrane is no longer from Alpha Centauri, but from Montana.)

Oh I'm waiting for the day that Boston Legal has Denny Crane cut up Captain Kirk or William Shatner. I think it's a matter of time. They already had Denny say "I used to fly my own spaceship"

Shatner has been trying to get Nimoy on Boston Legal for some time now.
