Default Guitar tuning question

Maybe this doesn't quite deserve it's own thread, but I know Calgarypuck is always a quick way to find answers.

I'm a semi-beginner guitar player, and I'm trying to learn '10 000 fists' by Disturbed, it says the song can be played in either drop C or drop Db. I have a guitar tuner, but have no clue how to tune my guitar to these tunnings. Can anyone help, or refer a site that shows how this is done.

Thanks in advance

I have a computer app that lets you select numerous tunings and then plays the note over your comp speakers. Has a nice analog scale to guide you as well.

Its a small one that I got for free off the net.

Post up or pm an email and I'll send it out if you want.

Typically Dropped D tuning is just dropping the low E by a whole step.

But that song is tuned to C..

So instead of EADGBE it's CGCFAD. Usually a guitar tuner will allow you to tune to Eb or D. My old tuner could do that, and my foot controller has a tuner in it, so it tells me the note that my string is tuned to.
