Sports Alerts on Cell?

Quick question. Sorry if it's been asked before.

I've got a Bell cell phone. I would like to be able to get sports updates via text message if possible for any trades, etc. that could happen in the next few days especially tonight as I may be going out during the draft (a prior commitment). It would be nice for my phone to notify me via a text message or something for any trades, etc.

Is there a way to do this? A site that will do this? Anyone?

Yep, I can attest to TSN's alerts. I sometimes even get them before a post on CP is made...shocking I know.

Already got a couple of alerts so far. The Leafs and Flames trades. It is working already thankfully. Nothing on Vokoun yet, but I would imagine once they get more information, it will get sent out. Kind of wish they would send any initial things out, regardless of details.

Seems to be. As long as you have unlimited incoming text messages on your account, you are good to go. TSN doesn't charge anything for it.

TSN does not charge you but your cell carrier may depending on your plan.

I went to nhl.com as well to see what they offer. Can't signup for any free stuff they have there (wallpapers, etc.)...not available to Canadians. Nice huh? We're only the BIGGEST hockey fans. Don't worry about us...

Also, thought I would signup for their real-time alerts. Says it is available for Bell cusotmers. Then when you click the Bell link, says .15 per alert. These alerts include goals scored. Can you imagine how fast that would add up... Fricken' Bell.
