The movie, due out in summer 2006, is being jointly produced by DreamWorks and Paramount, under the executive-production of Steven Spielberg.
Well, I think that is a great idea. I love the Transformers, I grew up on these bas**rds. But how they hell do you make them live action? That is a tough task to take on. If done right it could be amazing though.

Now I'm just waiting for the live action Thundercats film and I can die a happy man.

"Autobots...transform and roll out!"

I loved hearing Optimus Prime say that. I will be the first in line if and when this movie comes out.

If Spielberg is involved it should be great. After all he did make such classics as A.I., Always and 1941. Seriously it should be cool, probably a blend of cgi and live action. It all depends on how well cgi is used. Some movies use it to perfection (T2 comes to mind) and some overdo it (Van Helsing). Looking forward to this flick.

AWESOME. However, I can see this being a colossal flop. If it ends up like the incredible Hulk, it could ruin what little cherished memories I have left from my childhood.

It's going to be all CGI. I don't see how it could be done otherwise. Miniatures maybe, but I can't see Spielbergo doing that.

Wow! It's gotta be good then!!!

(If I had graphics turned on in my browser, there'd be one of those little sarcasm smilies here)

Seriously, I hope this turns out to be a decent film, or someone's gonna go decepticon on Speilberg's ass.

I can't wait for this movie. If you go to this site, you get a good idea as to what the cgi would look like.

There is a small mpg video of a VW Beetle transforming. Very cool
