Texas Holdem Charity Tournament
What It Is: Texas Holdem Style with 3 rebuys and one add on.
Where: Deerfoot Inn and Casino
When: June 28, 2007 @ 7:00 pm
Why: The tournament has been designed to benifit a charitable cause. An employee at Marks Work Wearhouse who has dealt with the struggles of alzheimers as she needs to raise $10,000 in donations, which goes to support the work of the Alzheimers Society of B.C. She has also agreed to pay all of her own costs to travel to Africa in order to participate in Ascent for Alzheimer's. This journey is designed to reflect the mountanious struggle faced by those affected by the Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.
Cost:
The cost is set at a $40.00 buy in which will get you a value of 500 chips. Re-buys are set at $5.00 / 500 chips, and the one add on is set at $10.00 for 2000 chips.
A portion of the total tournament pot will go towards the charity event and the remainder will be split up amongst the winners. The amount paid out to the winners and positions paid are determined on the total # of entries and the amount of rebuys completed.
