Default Moving to Bay Area

Hey all. I have an internship in the east bay area this summer. Just wondering how many CP people are out there and if any one can offer advice for places to live, stuff to do, etc...

Thanks!

East Bay? Hmm. North or South of Oakland?

Watch out for dangerously high levels of smug alerts...

Walnut creek is great. Lots of little restaurants.

Berkeley is great since you're still a student. Lots of students live around there. Again some great places to eat.

If you like Wine, it's wine country in Napa. Make sure you take a trip out there.

I'd live in either Berkeley or Walnut Creek.

Move to Candlestick... yeah. Driving through there makes Compton look tame.

I have friends who live in Pleasanton. Nice area close to the bay but at the same time far from the worst parts of living in a large urban center. It's nicely situated between SF/Oakland and San Jose. And John Madden lives there.

Check it out, we enjoyed our visit there.

Been there, really nice valley. I could live there. Nice farm type of community but alot of business hq's ala San Mateo but not far from the big city at all.
