Refs Needed

Hey folks, before I get to posting the rah-rah Flames stuff, just thought I'd throw this out there - who better to ask than sports fans?

There's a new roller derby league forming, and they're looking for refs. Need guys or gals who are pretty stable on skates (inline skates are fine, but quad skates are better), willing to put in the time for bouts and practices, and are willing to do all the work and get none of the praise.

Sounds tempting, doesn't it? If anybody's interested, you can msg me here, and I'll give you the low-down.

And if Kerry Fraser's reading this, the answer is no - we don't want you either.

Gawd no! A "show" is the last thing I need! I'm not looking for WWE refs - I'm looking for real, honest to goodness refs who can call this thing like a sport, not sports entertainment!

Man, McGoof would be a great WWE ref, wouldn't he?!?

Sadly, the answer is nothing - it's a volunteer position. But you might get some free swag.

But skating ability isn't a neccesity - there are a few non-wheeled ref positions (scorekeeper, penalty box, etc)
