Default I Found the Best Free Anti-Spyware Program!

Hey guys, i know a number of you have faced spyware on your machine, and its annoying as hell.
Whats even more annoying is trying to find a program that will actually find EVERY infection on your machine.
What is the MOST annyoing about this is not being able to find a program that is legit, and free.

ENTER:

www.hitmanpro.nl

This program was refered to me by my friend, and Geek at Geeksquad for best buy, so I know its clean and legit. The program systematically downloads about 8 well known spyware removers, (ad aware, spybot search and destroy, pc doctor, spysweeper), each in their 14 day trial stage. Hitman Pro intalls each one, selecting the features, pressing next, and everything all by itself! It then scans using the trial versions, and removes anything it finds! Upon uninstall it removes all the programs again! It takes a long time (4 hours on mine) to complete, so when prompted just select "yes to all" upon install, and it will take care of everything. (Maybe scan overnight or while you are out.)

It's wicked. Try it. It fixed my computer!

Dumb question, but can you uninstall it, then reinstall it whenever the 14 days runs out?

I've got it running right now seems to be doing an awesome job, from what I can tell it uninstalls the programs after it gets the work out of it that it needs.

In theory, no you aren't supposed to be able to.

When speaking about PCs running Windows, essentially all demo or trial versions of software come with special pieces of code that are written into your computer's registry when they're installed. This code keeps information such as whether or not the program has been registered, how long is left in the trial period, etc, stored with it, hidden away in the registry to force the user to actually purchase the full version of the software (when the trial period ends), otherwise a less useful (or completely unusable) version of the software will remain.

In any case, if and when such software is eventually uninstalled from your computer, traces of particular code are often purposefully left behind in the registry by the program, allowing it to recognize an attempt at uninstalling\reinstalling the trial version over and over and never paying for the full version of the software sometime down the road.

Im fairly sure there are ways around this, though I've never had the time\energy\patience to really explore them myself. I have heard that some extremely Windows-literate individuals are able to find and modify this code, thus "registering" the program without paying. I would not recommend attempting this yourself, though, as the registry is a wonderfully convoluted-but-integral part of your correctly functioning computer.

Well that puts a bit of a negative spin on it, but it came highly reccomended by a geek. Thats good enough for me, but of course you guys should all know that before using any program like this you should create a restore point for your system. (just in case.)

The heuristic scanning mode immediatly deletes everythin which isn't in the 'right' location. So exe files on your desktop, programs outside the program files folder etc. are deleted immediatly, no remorse. Why? Well, they're not supposed to be there according to Hitman Pro, HMP decides which is best for you...
Yikes....

I think I'll skip that one.
