Great column in the sensational tabloid New York Daily News today entitled "This isn't an election, it's a living nightmare."
Worth a read for both sides and kind of sums up my feelings about the whole thing.

I'm ready for all the hoopla to die down too. I already voted, so now I'm just waiting.

Sweet. Although now I'm hearing about all these irregularities and such going on which adds yet another aspect to the race and more to get "sick" of. The question is, will we miss it when it's gone?

I'm tired of it as well. I'll be happy when it's over. Hopefully there won't be any problems next week and everything will just die down.

This is an article on post-election stress syndrome" based on research from a Taiwan election but it has also been mentioned for the USA 2004 Presidential election as well. I think the Washington Post did an article on it but I can't find it so this will have to do.

I would strongly suspect psychosis in anyone who will miss this crap when it's over.

I hear you, but I just thought without this; which are the predominant and most compelling (IMO) topics in the OT board, and no hockey....well what do we debate? In an ongoing fashion I mean. I'm sure something can be found though.

But WHEN is it going to be over? The VOTE will be held next Tuesday, but WHEN will the COURT challenges all be settled? I Suspect that we will not know who the next President is until the New Year some time. This is going to be ugly.

Well, for me, it's getting to the point that I'd rather just avoid the site altogether than talk about this stuff anymore. Although, it seems to have calmed around here in the last few days with less political talk. I welcome that.
Once the election is over, there will be other things dominating the news that we can move onto.

That works for me because I know very little (even less) about Alberta provincial politics!
