I'm in
I'm the team REFS_HATE_CLEMSON
I don't do too well usually because I hate picking UNC and DUKE.
They are the two teams I hate the most.

I don't follow US college basketball and I think I came third last year. Mostly because I took Florida and UCLA to be in the final 4. I'll try another year of wild blind guesses and see where it gets me.

Don't make your picks yet...that bracket is wrong.
I can't find Creighton, they got the automatic bid from the Missouri Valley. Haven't looked at any brackets from any news sites to see if it is just a yahoo mess up or if the committee really screwed up.

Not sure what the deal was.

For those that follow CBB a bit....can anyone explain how Syracuse was left out over a bunch of others?
Boeheim must be flippin out.
Some super interesting 1st rd games though....moreso than normal.

Syracuse was a bubble team, they didn't exactly have a fantastic resume so I wasn't really all that surprised. I thought they might sneak in and I'm guessing they were one of the last teams cut from the tournament.

Interesting year for sure.
They had some bad home losses, that didn't look bad at the time. In the end, they turned out to be bad.
I follow the Missouri Valley closely. Last year they get five teams in, and rightfully so. I can tell you that the league as a whole is 3 times as good as it was last year and that ends up hurting them as only 2 make it in....and frankly, Creighton was on the bubble (probably would've made it) if they didn't win the conference tournament. It's interesting how that works though. Sometimes, it's bad to play in a great conference. Further to the MVC notes, watch out for Southern Illinois. They could be this year's George Mason (a cliche I hate by the way) and I think SIU is a much better team than George Mason was last year.

My bracket is complete for now, I might change some stuff. I got Memphis to win it all this year. They were good last year and there team hasn't changed too much this year.

They didn't play more than a hour or two away from home until January.
They lost to a bunch of teams that they shouldn't have. They did okay in a very top heavy league that allows you to inflate your conference record by beating up on the weak sisters. They lost a game in which they basically paid a team to come in and lose. (Now Drexel actually turned out to be pretty good but still you aren't supposed to lose those games.)
But mostly because they aren't really that good this year and I think the selection committee used them as an example to not make soft OOC schedules and if you do make sure you dominate the soft schedule.

yup....seems he was indeed shocked.

"I have no way of understanding why we're not in the tournament. You look at the numbers and it's hard to believe. But it's done. There's no use in talking about it," Boeheim said calmly after addressing the team. "Their opinion is that those teams are better than us. I'm very disappointed. It doesn't do any good to get angry."

I've changed my bracket about ten times in the last two days, and I think I've had about eight different teams making the final four. Right now my final four consists of a #1, two #2s, and a #3, with the #1 seed winning it all, so I guess it's still a reasonably conservative bracket.
The south region is giving me fits... I've had four different teams emerging from that region.

OK I'm in as well, Hoosiers had better show up vs. the zags this year, though the second round vs UCLA is scary. I am really looking forward to the Kevin Durant show, that kid is the best college player I've ever seen.

He was on PTI the other day- worth a d/l on ITunes to hear his interview. And some good stuff on the tourney from that episode also.
The Roaches are in- this is always a good time. Thanks Tim, and GO DUCKS!
