Default Live jail webcam

The live jail cam at the Anderson County Sherrif Department in Tennessee . . . . click on the "Quick Link" to the web cam half way down the right hand side of this page:

http://www.tnacso.net/guest/index.php?n=13

is drawing controversy according to this story in the Nashville Tennessean, worries that it might be jeopardizing security:

I wonder if you'd see The Terminator crashing through the front window to pin the cops up against the wall behind the desk (jk)

They use to have this in Maricopa county, Arizona with that sheriff guy who dresses his prisioners in pink stripes and has them living in tents in the sun..

anyway, they took it down because of reasons mentioned and something about the prisioners...

Can we place bets to get the inmates to fight?

That would be sweet. Rumble in the Steel-caged Jungle!

that guy had like less than 10% reconviction rate for his prisoners!

there was a special in the calgary sun awhile back, and he was on tv - 60 minutes i believe. loved the interviews with his former inmates, many of them now friends - sorta.

interesting stuff for sure. i believe the original reason for the tents was no money for a real jail, so why not alcatraz it? fences yes but LOTS of desert, good luck...

and having to use exercise bikes for power is innovative, if not downright sociologically interesting (keeping the prisoners occupied, less violence maybe)

as for the thread relevance, i honestly don't know if i agree with having cameras to humiliate the prisoners publicly, maybe a little too 14th century for me
