Default Movie: Freedom to Fascism

MOD EDIT: Link Removed to copyrighted content.

interesting, the idea that the IRS doesn't have the legal ground to stand on is a fascinating one.

they do have the police and the jails with them though!

taxable income being only corporate profit being the existing legal statute, or something like that.

i'd heard this before, and we've all heard stories aboot 'some guy' spending six figures on legal fees to avoid five figures of back taxes.

Aaron Russo was the producer for 'Trading Places' with Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd, not really a surprise i suppose... the theme in that movie seemed to be the ridiculousness of our financial institutions.

the movie also deals with what the taxes go to, which is interest on the mounting debt, and to whom that debt is owed, and why.

comments?

I agree... Income tax, boo what do I recieve for it. Well until someone can give me a good answer I will travel down the road to go to the library - hopefully avoiding any cops along the way. But before I go I think I might want to get something to eat being relatively sure that it is safe to do so.

Damn taxes.

MOD EDIT: Link Removed

Not mentioned in the film is that Mr. Russo has more than $2 million of tax liens filed against him by the Internal Revenue Service, California and New York for unpaid federal and state taxes. Mr. Russo declined to discuss the liens, saying they were not relevant to his film.
haha!!
