Did I Miss Something? (Stamps/Flames)

While looking at the Flames website, I came across this...

Just your run of the mill advert for a "Now Hiring" campaign. Nothing out of the ordinary, right?

Then I noticed at the bottom. Why are the Calgary Stampeders on a Calgary Flames advertisement? I knew there were rumours about the Flames possibly buying some interest into the football club, but I never heard anything past this.

Is there something I'm missing here. Could just be the obvious that the Flames and Stamps share staff maybe... or is there something hidden in the message, like our own 'DiVinci Code'.

Yeah... maybe I'm putting too much into it, but I thought it was interesting to say the least.

Aren't the Flames responsible for all food at McMahon stadium now?

I have noticed that the vendors that walk the stands wear the same jerseys that the vendors at the dome wear with the red flames on them.
I was told that they are hired by the same company and they can work both venues if they want. Not sure if that is true, just what I was told.

I know the same guy who sells me beer at McMahon also sells me beer at the Dome. (And has been selling beer at the Dome since I moved to Calgary.)

I think the concessions are run by the same company or something.

That would make sense, just hadn't heard about it yet. I did hear that the Vipers got the rights to their consessions just a while ago from some company that manages parks in North America. Once they got the rights, they slashed the prices almost in half in some places.

Just find it interesting that the two parties are working together on something like this.

Yeah, this happed like over a yaer ago.
The Flames bought a very small interest in the Stamps, mostly so that they could benefit from cost savings by doing promotional things like this together.

The Flames replaced Chuckwagon Catering (Don Luzzi's company) as McMahon Stadium's concession provider in 2005. That's why you see the same people slinging beer at the football stadium and the rink.

I also noticed that the Flames were advertising Flames, Roughnecks, Stampeders and Hitman job in the same ad.
