Well I told Doug a few weeks ago when I got Heatly not to be shocked if one day I offered Heatly for nash straight up. After the league re-rates, I was happy with the rating that Nash received and decided to send the deal over.

Rick Nash arrived in Florida and was bombarded by the one hockey reporter in town.

"Mr. Nash, how do you feel about leaving Carolina to come to Florida"?

"I wanted out of Carolina for a very long time" said Nash. "That GM over there is a nerd and spends more time watching MMA than managing the hockey team. It's no wonder we stink every year. I am extremely happy to be coming to Florida where I know that GM Penney has been working extremely hard to win it all. I feel that I can help contribute to this team and I will be happy to play wherever coach Trotz puts me" Said Nash with a HUGE smile on his face.

Nash is expected to start the season on the 2nd line but could easily sneek onto the top line before it's all said and done.

Normally, Nash’s comments about the Hurricanes organization and it’s front office would be upsetting to us, but it is coming on the heels of the Hurricanes getting word that Mirko Filipovic has removed himself from the September 10's PRIDE Open-Weight Grand Prix semifinal versus Wanderlei Silva very upsetting…. Now that really sucks!... I guess CroCop’s days are finished in PRIDE
