Default Camera Repair

I was just wondering if anyone here knew where a good place to take a digital camera in for repair is. Mine was still under warranty but apparently the damage done isn't covered and I was told it would be $200 to fix. It had been dropped on the ground and the zoom was jammed somewhat on a slant. I was told there is impact damage as well. If anyone knows a good place to go or where I can get a deal, I'd appreciate it!!! Thanks.

Well that's where it had been sent too, but at the moment I'm low on cash, so just wanted to know if there was anywhere cheaper. But I appreciate your input, I'll probably wind up having to take it back there later on.

Generally, only authorized Canon dealers will be able to repair Canons. I would maybe also check with -

Alta Camera Service
107 - 10th Ave SW
T2R 1K8
They repair Olympus, Nikon, and Pentax, but they might be able to help you out with your Canon.
