Just watched this classic movie again to pass some time on a long nightshift....has got to be the best performance by Nic Cage ever.....I dare say he must have had lots of practice at being the drunk guy. Honorable mention goes to Elisabeth Shue, my god is she a good looking gal, I wish she was in more mainstream movies.....

well acted...well directed...and one of the most depressing movies ever made...it was like scraping fingernails on a chalkboard.

I've had this on my list for a while, time for a rewatch.
