Default Anybody buying SPX tomorrow?

Upper deck SPX comes out tomorrow at 160 a box or so with one rookie jersey and one rookie jersey autograph per box among the other rookies and jersey cards etc. I am torn about spending the money to end up with crappy card but the crosby could finance a vacation and the Phaneuf would be a keeper, anybody else buying some?

Ya you get a couple normal rookie cards per box too like that. I did mean the jersey auto of which there is one up at 1200 USD, wow.

I'd buy a box. I'm wondering, what's the "best" type of cards these days?

I haven't bought any for years until the huge number of amazing rookies this year got me interested and I have been wondering the same thing. It's pretty much only Upper Deck this year who have a few different sets, picking between them is mostly personal preference - excepting that they have a couple cheaper mass produced sets for kids at the corner store like MVP.

Ebay is a great place to look around and get an idea of value, or beckett magazine online has good breakdowns of the various products this year on their hockey site.

on the left under previews and breakdowns there is some good info
