It's funny because Hill was not great against Calgary and has bad stats this short year (but they aren't getting rid of him) and the guy on the chopping block, Schmid, is playing well.
Schmid > Hart.

I imagine he'll get a conditioning stint in the AHL first, then they will need to send one of the three away. Even with Pietrangelo on LTIR, I think they are technically over the cap with three goalies on the roster.

AHL does not have to uphold NHL suspensions.

Zac Rinaldo was suspended by the NHL. Bruins sent him to the AHL where he earned an AHL suspension in the first game there.

per the Athletic he is joining Vegas on a PTO to start. Dreger says expectation is that it will turn into a NHL contract at some point.

Yup. One of the Athletic reporters got his press credentials pulled for asking Hanifin about the possibility of Hart joining the team when the rumors first surfaced.
Vegas is already in full press mode.

Which player did Vegas trade away well he was in the middle of an autograph session and he found out from a guy getting an autograph?
I know Vegas has done worse, but that was harsh and felt like they should have got more shamed for that.
