Why do other Canadian teams broadcast their own pre-season games, or at least some games, yet the Flames never do?

I dont know if its too long, one of the thing that annoys me about pre-season is...look at the last game against the Jets...that looked like a bunch of random guys that hadn't even seen skates in months!

The preseason is used to evaluate talent and let guys compete for jobs, but the guys who are already locked in to the team? They look woefully unprepared.

And then the season starts and lo and behold they stumble out of the gates.

I hope Gridin makes it. At least gets a decent cup of coffee before going to the AHL for further seasoning. He has been nothing but impressive. Always making every shift count.

Interesting he mentions playing a more skill based/hold onto pucks system in Saginaw
Says here he has to take advantage of the opportunities that only come on every couple of shifts
Mentions liking playing on the left side in the offensive zone as it fits his strengths.

Man pre-season is way too long. The league needs to mandate and trim this down to maybe 4 games tops for every team. Its utterly painful how long this is being dragged out.

Pretty sure it changes next year only 4 pre-season games IIRC

I like this spot way more for Gridin personally. More skill based and Frost has looked great so far.

I would swap Zary and Farabee though
