The most exciting single Flames goal ever for my money.
I remember when we drafted Johnny and, like everyone else, I immediately went "who?". And then the highlights of him started flowing in and I would lurk CP and just watch clip after clip of this undersized player doing amazing things. I knew then that he was special.
My absolute favourite player of all time. Happy birthday Johnny, we miss you.

Mony-Johnny was the best time I have ever had as a flames fan. Johnny the most skilled player I ever got to watch in red (yes, more than Iginla in pure skill, IMO.)

That team should have wrecked the Oilers in the next round. What a shame. Lot of what coulda, shoulda beens.

The next iteration of such a team is pretty much around 6-8 years from the first major draft pick and I consider that to be Parekh so we're looking at 2030-2032 at the minimum. Yet some people around here don't want to fully tear down and rebuild. We are a long ways from getting back to that point of the mountain and even then, nothings a given.
