Default New GM Stuff

We are recruiting a new GM into the league, and have someone who may take on a team.

The open team is Vancouver, which Blaster is considering moving to.

Ottawa is considered an asset weak team (Vancouver is not), so we are also able to deploy this new rule:

When a weak asset team becomes available, the team will be offered to the other league GMs. GMs of strong asset franchises can take over the weaker team and transition up to 3 assets of their choosing from their prior club. This must be approved by the commissioners to ensure that the former club is strong enough to be eligible and will not be materially weakened by losing 3 assets. Intended outcome: Incentives for veteran GMs to takeover weaker clubs. Opportunity to move assets from strong to weak clubs.

Does any GM of an asset strong team want to move over to Ottawa and transition 3 of their assets?

Really, my whole goal in this league is to chase and try and trade for Bowen Byram. I got Bowen Byram and now I don't know what to do. This is a logical decision in my mind.

A young buck MJK might take the challenge on but not this old fart.

How do we define a rich asset team again?

I think most of the time it's pretty obvious, but it's moot if there is no GM even volunteering. If someone does, we can vote on it or something.

Can we nominate someone ? IF so, I Nominate Jon Duke

I just did it with Columbus. Its doable but takes a lot of effort and a couple years. Rewarding though to see your team go from Bottom of the standings to the top and have some decent prospects in the mix.

You can suggest a GM but it's totally up to them if they want to take it on.

Cmon MJK. How can you resist the urge to wreck a new roster?

I'd actually be open to this in the future but right now am just way too swamped with work to give it the time needed.

Everyone talking about how it would be a challenge and they can't do it right now for reason X and it would be hard currently behind Ottawa in the standings.
