Was just going to make a thread on this and how csec feels another increase will fly.
I guarantee u the season ticket renewal numbers will be disastrous.
I, for one, am not.

Not surprised -- that Huberdeau extension isn't going to pay for itself.

Went up 8.6% for my Whites.
I think I have to finally cancel been a STHer for over 10 years, this is a ludicrous amount for the season we just had and given the diminishing value of a STH. Feel like there's less perks since covid and resale market is awful.

Curious. What is your cost this year and what was it last year?
I only ask because it seems every year people with the same seats always say they have different percentages of change.
(And I could be in the wrong on my math)

I do find it sneaky that as soon as the next seasons invoice comes out you cant see last seasons and compare what you paid.

4.9% for me in the greens. Haven't decided if I'm going to renew yet, looks like the deadline to opt out is May 15th. Big factor for me will be the Wranglers deal - if they keep that as a bargain offer I'll keep the Flames tickets to have access to it for sure.
Although I think next season is probably a bounce-back as all the pending UFA's play for contracts and trick the team into keeping them past the trade deadline - it's nice to have playoff tickets...

And I should clarify. I'm in white section. Not white centre.

I am going to have to give mine up, they went up 4.9% as well. I was in Section 213 Row 7.
I've had mine for 13 years. I don't make many games but always said if I came close to breaking even (never have made money) on the secondary market I would keep them. The ease for playoff tickets and maybe another run kept me going. Last year I wasn't even close to breaking even and can't justify keeping them.
With the secondary market softening it tells me they are overpriced, another increase isn't justified in my mind. I might jump back on board eventually, but for now will live and die by the secondary market. I have already sent in my cancellation.

Mine went up 4.1% in white center, but the reason being I had picked up an additional seat last year. I didn’t get the renewal discount for the 3rd seat obviously.
I was only able to attend 10/15 games this year, but I’m leaning towards keeping the seasons for one more year at least. Let’s see what the team does in the next few weeks though, and if that pushes my decision any specific way.

I’ve never understood the allure of season tickets unless you have a true desire to go to all the games. Isn’t it cheaper to just buy what you want?

I have moved around throughout the years and my re-sale has been best with the Greens I have now. However, after mid-January this year the re-sale was the worst I have seen it in a long time.
I’ll renew but I am leaning more and more to walking away with every year.

The value (in the past at least) is discounted and guaranteed seats for all games, including playoffs. Based on the raised 'premium' or playoff game costs they are substantially cheaper.

Last season was $8750, this season $8980….so only a $230 increase or 2.6%

Back when I had season tickets, the only reason I really had them was so that I could attend every play off game. But of course, you have to make the playoffs for that to be any kind of advantage. The only year it really paid off was in 2004 and maybe a couple years when the Flames made it through the first round. But after a while, it seemed to get harder and harder to sell the tickets that were not being used and just not worth the money anymore. Especially when you start having family commitments and such, its pretty hard to get to a lot of games. Back in the 2000s I went to pretty much most games, but the year I dropped them, I think in 2018 I only attended a hand full of games at most. When my kids are out of the house doing their own things we may consider getting tickets again, but the prices just keep getting less and less attractive.
