Makes sense. He’s a rookie GM and everyone knows he’s probably going to make a few trades eventually. If the offers are poor start the season with who you have and go from there until you get a decent offer. Don’t make a bad trade just because it’s the draft.

Makes sense to lowball a new GM with multiple players wanting out. Trades are a two way deal, a team clearly wants a player if they are willing to trade for him as they see it as a necessity for their own roster. This UFA class is awful and teams will get desperate, if not now then later

I always wonder about these things how they actually work. Hockey is the worlds most able to keep secrets sport on the planet. Probably why Graham James was such a fan.

How does Sutter be a giant POS all year long and just a few minor leaks come out about it, then days after he is punted they start laying into him. More than any coach I can remember and so soon. I didn't know Commodore hated Babcock until probably years later.

Yep.

Also if the offers don't improve, then the market is what it is. Perhaps our evaluation of our players is off (it likely is, seeing as this isn't a good team).
