It's a good thing we got rid of our Stanley Cup winning coach for lightweights that didn't even want to stay and kept the unproven GM and Coach duo to satisfy them before they took off.
I jest, I'm ok with Sutter leaving but it is kind of intriguing.

I feel like if Lindholm takes the money on the table this is his team moving forward and he will be the next captain. Hoping he stays.
Backlund and Hanifin moving on I think makes sense for all parties, I'm OK with it. Hoping for futures and young players back but not expecting it.
Fairly surprised Toffoli is on the block though, he doesn't seem like a hard signing dollar value wise and flames will have all kinds of cap space.

Gotta think the player are talking to each other. Once a couple of them waffled about signing extensions, the rest could read the writing on the wall and didn’t want to be part of a rebuild.

Send them to the worst teams. Columbus, Arizona, San Jose. Good riddance! Except for Backlund, he stuck with the Flames 15 years and showed loyalty. He can go to a Colorado/Boston/Carolina.

One thing to be thankful to BT for, is having all these key contracts expire at the same time. It gives the team a clear and definite opportunity to pick a direction as opposed to having them all staggered.
This should create a flush of assets all coming in at once that can mature together on another similar timeline.
