Interesting the Canucks flipped that valuable asset from the Islanders

What in the hell is Vancouver doing? I mean, I complain about our lack of direction (a lot)...but Vancouver is just bonkers.

...maybe Detroit is where Chychrun lands now?

What were the conditions on the NYI first again? Detroit fans have been wanting to run Hronek out of town for the last 3/4 years I feel like but I think they were finally liking him this year.

This trade doesn't make much sense for either team. Something else must be in the works for the Wings.

Has to be. I like it more for Detroit than Vancouver, but it's a trade that makes no sense for both teams without another deal coming.

Vancouver is EASILY the most bizarre and rudderless franchise in the league.

They have been pretty open about wanting players 25 and under and getting better on D, this trade does that, not sure if the value is there

bit of head scratcher. Surprised that the Wings would give up Hronek, I thought he'd be in their long-term plans for sure.

They might also want to bring up Edvinsson soon. I thought he was doing quite well in Grand Rapids.

Hronkek is a good player, it just seems odd that Vancouver are buying right now in this market.

It’s like the griffin reinhart trade except Hronek has actually proved he can play in the NHL

Rutherford has talked about a 1-2 year turnaround.

Vancouver just doesn't rebuild. Ever. They're going to be mediocre until the end of time.
