Last year I put up a sign that said, "No candy, due to covid." This year, I bought a case of chips. Then I remembered how nice it was last year not having people ring the doorbell all night, when I have crazy dogs and an open concept house.
But I either give out candy, or eat a whole case of chips, so...

Excited about it. My wife and I don't do much in the way of house decorations (we have some of the CTire 'ghoulish' spotlights and a pumpkin in the window) but she LOVES to hand candy and glowsticks out.
Last year we had a table set out that we refreshed as needed. This year she's excited to hand things out again.

I went overboard but only on my daughter's costume. She wanted to be King Trollex this year. Well actually, she wanted to be him last year but they don't make costumes for him and she told me this a week before Halloween so there was no time to properly prepare. I've been working on the costume for over a month now and she's going to wear it for the first time today at school. However, I can't take pictures because it's full of glow sticks and the school asked them to not wear them TO school so they aren't a distraction all day. Her costume will be the ultimate distraction I'm sure. We'll see how it goes as she's only 6. Honestly, I can't wait to see it all together but since we need new glow sticks every time she wears it, we'll only get two opportunities to take pictures; today and Halloween.

FYI you can freeze a glowstick for a night or 2 and they'll reactivate when they warm up. It slows the reaction, and doesn't stop it, so you can't leave them for weeks.

We moved inner city in the spring so this is our first year having a front step that goes directly onto a sidewalk. Been loving seeing our neighbours displays go up this month, we’ve got a few pumpkins small bits but we’re holding off on going too deep this year as there’s lots of stuff inside the house that needs decorating before getting into seasonal.
But from chatting with the neighbours we’re expecting 20-25 kids, which at that rate I can do full sized chocolate bars.

No kids here so we don't really get into it, usually we carve a pumpkin each and hand out candy. I do like seeing all the cool costumes the kids wear. Usually I'll buy a flat of cheap beer and give them to the dads that come up to the door too

There was a large solar flare that erupted from the sun yesterday shooting out charged particles into space and directly towards Earth.

Halloween is my youngest's birthday, so we always try to have just a little more fun than most. Treats, costumes and cake are automatic on a kid's birthday...can it be any better?

Did up 100 bags of candy. 6:10 already had 40 kids.
Dammit, going to run out early
Impressive. It is a slow start here as there has only been one kid. I've already busted into my candy stash and the kids better hustle up if they want a share of it.
