Default Brad Treliving needs to stay

I was just gonna bump the other Tree thread, but I'm tired of seeing that thread title.

Hot off the press... Treliving on Spittin' Chiclets!

(I haven't watched it yet (just started it), so go easy on me if it sucks!

Yeah, I've been on the fence about Treliving but after this past summer? Extend him. We all need to see how this movie ends.

Other fun parts: 1:34:50 is when they talk about the Flames... but back up a bit before that to catch the end of the Oilers segment, where they compare McDavid to Jeffrey Dahmer!

Edit: Tree is at 1:40:00

I was a big Treliving fan through his first few years but I was done with him after the Canadian division. I have been really happy with his moves since and am fully on board with him staying long term. I think his moves this summer have lifted him to the elite tier of GM’s. Calgary is not the most attractive destination for free agents but he convinced Markstrom, Coleman, Kadri and other high profile UFA’s to pick Calgary.

His 2 massive blockbusters with the Hurricanes and Panthers were amazing deals the moment they were announced.

All I heard was a story about Bissonette bustin a nut on the highway in a coffee cup.

3 hours is just way too long for those personalities. Sorry. I had to skip to the Treliving interview. Does seem like I missed some interesting stories though

every time i thought it was time for brad to go, he pulls himself up off the canvas and lands some solid and unexpected punches to get right back in the game

Fantastic interview. Flames are fortunate to have somebody as creative and humble as Brad.

Consummate team player!

After the summer he just had, yes, he deserves another extension. Still has work to do but pulled the team out of a self-inflicted fire.

It wasn't self-inflicted fire, you also said he almost burn the team to the ground.

Great interview.

One thing with Treliving, he is always well spoken, and is engaging as a speaker. I always look forward to his interviews.

As much as I like Sutter's zingers, his interviews would be like the opposite of Treliving's lol. Definitely on opposite sides of the spectrum in terms of delivery.

Treliving has tremendous people skills and is an extremely good communicator. I think this might be the first time I've seen him interact for this long with casual dudes in a casual chat and he fits right in. He obviously can also hold his own just fine and build relationships with professional executives. Flames fans are lucky to have him running the show in Calgary.

Discussing what the Oilers should do to fix the fact that their 7 mil over the cap, I enjoyed the bit about just letting Kane gamble it away

I'm gonna pretend this all you wrote so I can also pretend you're actually a fan that just said something positive for once and left it at that, without a petty need to inject your blatantly obvious personal bias.
