Leafs ended up playing with 10 forwards and without checking the numbers I feel like Spezza barely played at evens. Kind of just like rolling three lines. I think that may have been a factor in why the leafs’ attack looked so relentless for a bit there, no 4th line to kill the momentum.
Markstrom was very very good and the Leafs couldn’t finish, I’d be pretty frustrated losing that one if I was a Leafs fan.

2015 Draft
Seems like a good night to talk about the 2015 draft.
The Flames go in with a first and three seconds in a rebuild. They turn the first and two seconds into Dougie Hamilton. Then draft Rasmus Andersson and Oliver Kylington in the second round and Andrew Mangiapane in the 6th.
Two plus years later they trade Dougie Hamilton for Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanifin, and with that the 2015 draft gives the Flames three of their top four defensemen, their first line center, and their second line sniping winner.
Lots made of the 2016 draft, but the 2015 draft was a franchise changer.

Thanks for this, I was just thinking about this draft today. It really has been massively impactful to this current team.

Dammit. I have Chucky in my pool. And he totally got the puck back to him at the point.

Are you sure they didn't give it to McDavid?

Markstrom "stole" it for sure, but so did Flame shooters. Five goals is pretty awesome output and should win you most games.
I didn't know Sutter has been vocal about Covid and getting back to normal, but I understand him. Not sure who is being protected when he has a mask on behind the bench. More for show really. Maybe he should coach with a beer in his hand to prevent transmission of Covid.
