Beautiful. I'll always hold the Bautista punch against him. While Bautista may have been overconfident, this guy was a jerk.
Now onto fun stuff. I'm going to go with Yankees vs. LA in the final. I really want to go with SD, but LA's pitching is nice. So I think LA takes it again.

As the resident Rangers fan here... meh, he always rubbed me the wrong way.
That said, the thing I liked the most about him was the Bautista thing haha.

Anyone interested in a 12 team fantasy league? I can set a Yahoo one up if there is enough interest...
It's too late to start week 1. Reply if interested and what type of league preference. Points, Head 2 Head, Roto, Auction?
I am in 2 Head 2 head leagues already but am down with anything.

I’d totally be down but don’t want further distractions as I’m already in hockey and baseball. Nice idea though.

You are probably a bit late to set up a league this year. Anyone interested is likely already in a league and has drafted already.
If you were to set one up in the future, I'd suggest something simple like points with a snake draft over several days (each person gets x hours to pick). I imagine it might be hard to organize online and keeping it simple probably works best.

And...opening day already has a COVID cancellation. Mets v Nats has been postponed today and tomorrow:

Was really hoping they'd get a few days (weeks?) in before something like this happened, but here we are.

Opening day! A bit tough to watch Yankee Stadium, I was supposed to fulfill my lifelong dream of seeing the Yankees play last September for my 50th. Stupid COVID. I'll get there some day.
Pretty pumped for the Yanks this year, hoping they can stay healthy.

Tom Brady fooled me for a minute with his April Fools Day tweet. He posted he was bringing the Expos back for 2022.

MLB should really fix that on a HR you can't put yourself out if another runner is retreating thinking a ball is caught. What a weird play that happened today to the LAD and Bellinger.

That small but mighty crowd in Oakland is doing gods work with the Astro’s. Once a cheater always a cheater.

I don't know if anyone has caught the Ty Buttrey story as he prematurely retired? Probably one of the most well written and honest statements put together. It would be nice if we all could do what he did.

Watching a little Sunday night baseball as a go between during the Flames game. Fun to see Ohtani hitting 101 with his fastball and launching a 450 foot bomb. Also nice to see Trout play. But I’m getting tired of always hearing “best player in baseball Trout”. Or GOAT. I don’t understand why sports are so dead set on labelling players these days. Not arguing against it, just find it tiring.

Oh, in this case Trout is like Bo Jackson underrated. I get what the gripe is, because the other sports debate that as a talking point but baseball doesn't really do it, and Mike Trout is largely never given the credit he's due. While I'm not familiar with the big names of the past, for Trout to be putting up the numbers he does in modern day, it's incredible. I love who he represents as a person, so I do think he's the greatest, though there's plenty of time to go. He's definitely on pace.

After four games against the Astros, the A’s are 0-4 with a run differential of -26. The fans were ready to heckle the Astros but it rings hollow when you’re getting pummeled repeatedly.

And a rally has them at -7 against the Dodgers tonight. Great April team the A's are.
