A) Hart's last year being an outlier.
B) Jones being the goalie of a couple years ago, and not the disaster he's been lately.

It COULD work out really well for them, but this is Philly. Goalies don't work out for them.

Philly's pick correct goalies, just get the timing wrong.

They seem to ignore the team aspect of goalie performance.

This one is kind of baffling to me. They needed to bring in insurance in case Hart doesn't bounce back. Jones has been one of the worst goaltenders in the NHL for a few seasons now. The made all these changes and still left the goaltending situations unsettled.

So many better options. Why not pay the extra 0.5M for Reimer or Broissoit. Halak or Raanta would've been awesome.

Hart had a shaky season. The team is loading up for this year. Settling for a reclamation backup goalie is not smart.
