Shocked...they will be a tough team...but given what was on the table...LV was light years ahead even immediately following the draft when we didn't know what many of those players turned into...

Is it possible that Francis just isn't very good at this? I think people have to consider that possibility. It's not like he's got some amazing track record to back him up.

Francis screwed this up. No side deals???? Like, even if these were the players you wanted, you couldn’t get at least late round picks as a bluff???? Super weird. And yes obvious fail by Francis.

I think other GM's learned their lesson as there were likely far less teams interested in giving up much this time around. I don't think the Kraken did a terrible job if they got the players they wanted.

Even so there were better players unprotected. Carolina, etc.
Mind you, they aren’t even at the floor yet. Maybe they want some UFAs.

No side deals...to take players that may, or may not, impress enough to get extended and/or signed as FA's moving forward.
BUT
They have a 30M in cap space.
They can do whatever they want with that kind of flexibility.
Todays roster is a loooong way from being finalized.
I think its a brilliant strategy moving into draft weekend.
