Long shot, but if someone needs a cabin TV, kids TV, or a TV to play old school games on this is it. Works great, no issues, was in use in the house up until a couple weeks ago.

“Flat screen” Sony with picture in picture. Be the envy of your stuck in the 90s friends as you watch two channels at once!

How heavy is it? Can it be moved by a single regular strength person?

Having a lot of experience back in the day, I can say that Sonys are heavier than most for sure.

Im guessing that model is probably 90-100 lbs.

Yep, 42kg, 92 lbs according to the manual. I am not strong and I’ve been able to move it myself for short distances. Mostly all the weight is in the screen so the front is heavier and it isn’t balanced. My wife and I carried it down from our second floor by putting it on a blanket and that worked well. I think with moving straps an average man could carry it or more confidently carry it.

God i know far to much about such a trivial thing but....yes for sure.

I found the only way to carry one alone is...pick it up from the front with the screen facing you.

Left hand on the bottom left, right hand on the top right and let the screen rest against your stomach taking some of the weight.

100 pounds isnt that crazy to move but those things are so awkward with the weight distributed as it is.

Or take a two wheeler...cover the tv entirely with a blanket and bobs your uncle.

Gawd...when I was dating my spouse (we're almost at our 25th year wedding anniversary), she had one of those. I had to carry it up 4 flights of stairs to her apartment. Arms shaking afterwards...sweat pouring from the effort and the fear of dropping it...lol.

Yep, Tranny has the method down. It’s mostly just awkward. Getting it downstairs we tipped it screen down onto a blanket and then used the blanket as “handles” to carry it. A 2 wheeler would make it simple.

I wonder if there's some demand for these things at vintage video game stores. CRTs are basically must-have equipment for speed runners of classic games. Some competitive gamers even use them for more recent games.

Yep. Glass is heavy and there was a lot of it in a CRT.

Thats the 27".

There were a ton more that were up to 36" and well over 200lbs.

Funny you mention it, I was thinking about creating an arcade cabinet using a CRT TV instead of an arcade-specific monitor.
